Honestly can't remember the name of the facility or the exact town it
was in.
All I remember is that it was close enough to the convention center
where G. H. W. Bush and W. J. Clinton gave campaign speeches, pretty
much back to back that I had to take two Fridays off to avoid being
sealed in by both the Secret Service, and horrible traffic. They
needless to say both helicoptered in...
I was working through Anderson Consulting at the time, who changed their
name to Accenture, to protect the guilty, mainly themselves, being
partly privy to the inside politics between Arthur Andersen and AC was
interesting and a very long sometimes amusing story. I was working on
the SSART (sp? as I said it's been many years), project. A project
who's entire premise was that the AC tech team was smarter than anyone
else, something that's been proven wrong over and over again. I don't
think AT&T ever took over complete maintenance of that system, because
of it's convoluted design.

I am in Somerset County, and I did a lot of work for the old AT&T in the

facility were you working with? I did a lot of work on the "Long Lines"
facility in Bedminster, and I did the zoning applications for the office
complex off 202/206 in Bridgewater. Mostly I worked with the facility
managers at Mount Airy Road. I also represented the company in constuction
litigation.
As far as corruption goes, Sen Menendez, who was prosecuted for corruption
by the Justice Dept under Obama, is running for re-election, and will
undoubtedly win. It seems NJ alway has one honest Senator and one Crook:
Case/Williams, Bradley /Torricelli, and now Booker/Menedez.
Yes, Somerset, Hunterdon and Morris counties are very nice, contrary to the
general image of New Jersey.

I lived in Somerset County for almost a year working on a project for the
"old" AT&T. There were a lot of members of the team who were commuting
from NY City. They were amazed at how nice the area was and how
"inexpensive" the rents were for what you got. None of them moved there
however. No accounting for taste. Connecticut was less expensive and just
as nice, and at the time our Government was a bit more honest. I haven't
kept up on NJ politics, but I think I can safely say the Connecticut is now
more corrupt than NJ was then.

Thanks, PJ. The name of the producer may not be familiar to everyone
here. New Yawkers look down on us hicks from "Joisy" as they call it .
If
you tell a New Yorker you live in Jersey they don't ask what town, but
"What Exit," implying that New Jersey is just the Turnpike and the
Parkway. We try to keep the nicer sections of NJ secret from New Yorkers,
for fear they will all move here. <G>

at Wegman's this week, so it was our Fourth of July treat. You have
just
got to love a vineyard called "What Exit Wines."
