Hmm.. Sounds like you got bitten by the same leetle bug that's affected
many of us over the years. 

In all likelihood, the thing that needs a fixin is the resource files.
Of course, you do have all those pretties backed up somewhere safe, so
you're in pretty good sha....oh wait, you say you don't have them?
Hmmmm............

It's time for Jamie to search the message archive. Sadly, I can't
remember the thread name. Maybe one of the more clear-headed members of
this group can fill in the blanks, as my present job description has had
me divorced from the EDA process for long enough to make it all seem
like just a pleasant memory of youth...

Seriously though, sorry to hear about your problem, but it does ding a
bell in my memory about a very similar problem that I had several years
ago (circa 1999-2000) which was solved by replacing several thoroughly
mangled resource files in the Protel directory structure...How pathetic,
I can't even remember their names...
