Dear Sung, lists - I am not sure that this is the proper comparison. It is possible to chart thresholds in many continuous processes - that does not alter their continuous nature nor make them fundamentally discontinuous in any sense. Continuity may include discontinuities - the opposite is not the case. Cf. singularity theory charting singular points in continuous processes. Best F
