> But why keep kicking a dead horse, it just brings strife and makes the group look ridiculous?
Because then, this vote fails due to "people deliberately avoiding answering *crucial* questions, like 'what is the role of a secretary' on FIG 3.0". This is why everything apparently needs to be explained to exhaustion. There are people in this list whose modus operandi is to question every little thing so, when some minor non-issue goes unnoticed, they can claim things weren't properly explained, thus creating the appearance that there are still a lot of unresolved issues and unanswered questions, when in reality these things are mostly obvious, were already explained or have no effect on the group whatsoever. The fact that someone is not satisfied with an answer (which is already very clearly answered in the current and proposed bylaws) doesn't mean it's not clear enough. In this particular case, it is clear enough. And, in the end, it doesn't really matter what Michael's opinions on a secretary's role is, Paul is not voting if he wants Michael to be a secretary or not, he is voting on bylaw changes. The only things that matters is if the bylaw is clear enough, and this has not been questioned even once. The only thing I can see here is Paul making veiled accusations towards Michael (in the form of questions, of course, because one needs plausible deniability... he only *wants things to be clear) *in order to hijack this discussion*. *If you want my opinion, this is exactly what "acting in detriment of PHP-FIG's ability to meet its objectives" is. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "PHP Framework Interoperability Group" group.
