My GH was 79 the last two times this year. I looked at some of my blood work and I believe it was 131 the time before. So I know it is lower. I talked to PD when I had a stess test done Monday. But he doesn't know very much. I'll have to go back to my Endo. in Tulsa,OK. He hasn't been willing to help me to much. I tried M.D. Anderson in Houston,but that was a nightmare. I did see a Neurosurgeon who told me and showed me that my tumor has hemmorred months before I got a new set of doctors that would help me. I took Dostinex for 7 months before surgery. It wasn't even a prolactin tumor,it was a non-functioning tumor. I have learned so much these past 3 years. The people that I know that have had pituitary tumors don't know much about all the harmones. My PD told me Monday that the GH would decrease since I was older. I am 53 years old now. During my illness it has been migraine headaches before I got so ill in the beginning of 2001.  I can't belive it takes so long to get help,but this illness is not known that well. The only good doctor I had was my Neurosurgeon.The surgeron in Houston told me my doctor did a good job.  I am so sorry you have suffered for so long. I know a lady that used to live in my town but live in  N.C. and this passed year had her third pituitary tumor surgery. Talk to you later. Lawana  View other groups in this category.
