Minnie, I just found your reply, I haven't got this Pituitary Chat down just right yet.
I have read about the GHD in the AACE Growth Harmone Task Force.  There is an article in it that says some insurance companies don't require a stimulation test if you have a complete hypopituitarism and a low IGF-1 concentration is sufficient evidence to approve the use of GH therapy;thus, the need for dynamic testing is eliminated-a policy that we endorce. If the patient has coronary artery disease, the insulin test should be omitted. Well this kind of fits me. I have not heard back from my doctors office in over 2 weeks and called again today. Well no one called me. I know my insurance doesn't need a prior approval which they have told me at the doctors office. I am hoping I get to talk to someone at the office tomorrow. 4 times I have called back since I talked to my endo. Thursday I take my daughter to have her noduels on her thyroid checked. I hope that turns out okay. She is raising my two grandaughters on her own. Lawana
