Goggy, I'm way past advil and all over the counter pain med. I started having the headaches in my early 20's. Probably after the birth of my firsts child. I am now 53. I went to a neuroloist in my 40's and had a MRI and supposily it showed nothing. Well I lived on Imitrex. I took it when it first came out in shots only. It worked. Prescription pain med. made me throw up. I can take it now but only certain ones. and usually not twice through the day.
I had to stop taking the Imitrex when I started having a heart problem which I ended having a stint put in. I know that my high cholostrel is from this pituitary problem.
The headaches are from having a pituitary gland problem, thats my opinion but doctors will dissagree. They haven't lived through it.
I guess we are living in a time where there trying to find out more about our problem but its not there yet. I had problems with sex all my life and blamed myself and now I fell it was the gland all the time. I might have told you, my doctor is going to set me up with a GH deficiency test, if it shows I need the durg I hope it won't make me sick. I know of a man who has had to be on the drug, 3 shots a day and he was really sick. I had a bad week but some days are better, and I've had surgery to remove a hemorraged tumor. As far as I'm concerned no one could read the MRI's right. I'm going to pick up all my reports on that today. I got my pathology report Tuesday, they sure didn't run very many test. All the doctor wants to know is if it is a adenoma tumor, they forget about all the hormones in that thing. Lawana
