Hmmm....yeah that's very interesting Jack.  I do see a lot of similarities.  Is this the best you can hope for, with the sandostatin?  Of course 75% is better than before, but still....

What made you see the oncologist in the first place?  How was carcinoid syndrome first suspected?  What made you decide to go to OSHU?

Sorry if I am asking too many questions.  If I didn't have boards like these I'd swear I was completely losing my mind.  I mean, how do you NOT EAT but gain weight?  Now I know at least it happens to other people too.  Of course, if not eating doesn't help, then how are you supposed to lose weight?  I shouldn't care so much about the weight, but yeah, I do.  I used to be super-skinny too.  I have gained 40lbs in the last few months.  Since I was so skinny before, I have actually gotten a couple of comments that I look BETTER now.  I personally don't agree.  Of course, that's beside the point... the point is, how does it happen and what can you do about it?  I keep thinking, if I am gonna gain all kinds of weight, I wish I could at least be able to eat and enjoy food as part of the deal!
