Meri, I didn't answer you about the tests I've had. ACTH was only 63 (normal <50) so not alarmingly high. My endo said, that could be elevated just from not eating, but then he wanted to do further tests for Cushing's anyway. 24hr UFC was normal (37, normal <50.) I suppressed on the overnight dex test. So now my endo is back to saying it isn't Cushing's after all. I have not had midnight salivary cortisol, PTH, ionized calcium or vitamin D. As for other vitamin levels, I did have vitamin B12 measured because of being a vegan for several years, but it was fine. I also had carotene measured because my skin has turned an odd orangey color, but it was also fine. At least you have one point on your side in that you have a known pit tumor. Or "cyst" as the case may be. I had an MRI but nothing was seen. |
