Hi! Still no results from the MEN-1 testing. I am suppose to call and remind them next week. What is going to happen next in terms of the elevated parathyroid hormone and intermittenly elevated CA is dependent on the results of the MEN-1 testing. I am to call with the findings as soon as I get them. I don't have serious problemsd caused by the abnormal levels - osteopenia not osteoporosis, kidney stones but very small in size so I think there will be a wait and see approach (I hope). I am concerned over repeated episodes of what feels like hypoglycemia with the shakes, cold sweats, increased weakness which may indicate some problems with the pancreas. The low blood sugar has never been confirmed but sure feels like the descriptions. I am also experiencing increased episodes (several times per day) of flushing and sweating and am worried that my IGF-1 has increased despite the Sandostatin LAR (My IGF-1 was finally normal at my last visit though my is hair falling out from the Sandostatin. Vitamin D was normal). I will post as soon as I hear anything.
