Dear Cinny:
Gamma and Cyber are both forms of radiation. Most likely your surgeon will
not recommend that for you since the tumor is near the optic nerve. I had
surgery 11 weeks ago and very very very pleased with my results!!!! It is not
near as scary as it seems. I was crying before my surgery and was up that night
watching Big Brother while eating.

hi, I just found
out i have a non-secreting pit tumor. it has begun to press on the optic
area.
i think the doctor is going to want to remove it. i am scared. i hear
there is a surgery called "gamma knife" or radio surgery" has anyone had this
type of treatment done? also, doc says medication will not shrink a
non-secreting tumor. cinny
