Cinny, I had surgery about 8 weeks ago for a
non-functioning 2 CM pit tumor. It had already invaded my bone. The surgeon
wasn’t sure if they could get it all or not. After surgery and post another
MRI, I found out that while they got most of the soft tissue tumor, there was
still so much in the bone and now
tumor around the carotid artery that I still have to have radiation too. So,
I see the radiation doctor this week to determine what kind, etc. My tumor is
also very close to the optic nerve, so not sure which they’ll
recommend. Like Tina, I would also have to say that
the surgery and recovery wasn’t nearly as bad as I feared. My biggest
complaint afterwards was a lot of fatigue and nose discomfort from the splints.
But the pain was very manageable. Good
luck! Ginger
