A Clie PEG-T425.

Something extremely odd happened today (digitiser and buttons stopped
working, periodic beeps emitted) and I had to take the backplate off and
temporarily remove the battery (!!) to get control back.

This done, I restored everything from scratch, bypassing the Memory
Stick backup, and the problem I noted didn't occur second time round ...

See above ... although the problem is, accidentally, fixed it would be
