OK.. I'll have to try it out tomorrow. I tried to make sure that
everything was okay, atleast from the emulator's point of view.
Tomorrow I'll be able to test it out on an actual device.

Ah. I had to add a new Boolean into the preferences in order to define
whether or not to display the type column. I guess that if that value
isn't properly initialized, its defaulting to false. I'll figure out a
better way to do this, but for now to bring it back click onto the
Application Pulldown icon, Goto Show/Hide, select Type. Now the document
icon should be visible again.
