The thing is - the scanner only has usb-c for power and data. The usb-A
port on the scanner is host port for usb stick. So, if you connect power
brick to the usb-c - how do you plan to get the data out of the scanner?

Usb stick every time you scan a document? Or wifi - which may complicate
linux operation somewhat and limit your ability to connect to the
Internet....

Please do not answer, just think about it. I have different scanner
Fujitsu/Ricoh fi xxxx - so do not need to hear back.

Hope that helps, Tomas
