"No" Derek said firmly.  Not that the idea wasn't attractive, but if he
started bending the rules now it wouldn't be long before they broke and he
couldn't chance that until her knew for sure what side she was really on.
He had a reasonable explaination to go with his refusal as well.  "After
what has already happened to her magick will only make things worse."  He
had a strong feeling that was really the truth too.  What they needed was a
psychiatrist, where the Hell was she?  How long could it take to drive one
child from her house to here?
