"A bit of a shock? This has got to be a dream or some kind of trick. Thats it, its a trick! Its gotta be a trick because theres no way she could be here. If it IS her how do we know? NO proof."

Julia gently disengaged herself from Derek's hold.  This was something she had to do and she had to do it with and for Nick.. even for herself in a way.

"Nick.." she spoke his name again, tentively reaching up to touch his cheek but stopping at his pained expression.  Her voice was low, an almost whisper but he could hear her, could hear the natural huskiness in it as she tried to prove it to him  "It is me.... I.. I love the coffee you call mud.  I.. my favorite flavor ice cream is chocolate chocolate chip... you bought it for me the day I sprained my wrist mountain climbing because I missed a competition because of it......" her blue eyes begged him to remember and believe as she went on to the next outrageous but true tale "We work for the Legacy, meeting evil, ghost, goblins, ghouls, demons... and I freaked out on you.. in the house.. and you picked on me for months because it took a rat to make me jump on your back and freak... I wouldn't even let you kill it once you finally caught it and you had to throw it out the back door...!"

She tried raising her hands again and just let them stay there, looking into that tortured gaze of his.  She couldn't stop the silent tears that fell.  He couldn't have forgotten, he just couldn't have -- she had found her old stuff in their usual place -- his eyes now... she chewed her bottom lip and there was an equally silent plead in her voice "I'm the one that gave you the bad habit of sitting on a table while we researched things.... because the chairs.. they bugged me... Nick it's me.. can't you feel it?"
