Did you try the Intelligent Battery Recondition "trick"? Plug power supply in, remove battery. Fire up IBR Answer the prompts until it tells you that you need to install the battery. Install the battery in the right-hand bay. Let IBR do it's thing. Run Battery Amnesia a couple three times.
