hmmm... if I weren't so mad at the poorly made cheesy piece of uncooperative plastic, I'd have remebered that before I posted :) I am glad I'm not mad at something SCSI :) I'll play with extensions again today, then I guess I'll give up and buy a discman-sized SCSI CD-R for it. A bit overkill, but I can get some decent money for the Apple drives on ebay if the wind is right, and the door hasn't yet fallen off either drive, yet. The portable externals are made to be portable, too, so they are a lot less fragile.
