Just a thought,

have you used the camera on remote (from the computer) and experimented?
Are you using the latest Firmware and downloaded it into the Camera?

I did and noticed that it puts some settings into the camera for good (it
over rides what
you see on the settings in the camera).
The possibilities are very complex and I set all back to default. Check the
shadow settings
and RGB curves. (it starts with the green channel, don't know why)
If all fails ring Canon (with your CPS No in hand).
To me it looks as there is a shadow lift in your software that is set to
high.
Only guessing because a compensation tends to go the other way from the
complimentary colour, i.e from blue to red, from red to blue etc.

Good luck,

Andreas

Hi Andreas . Thanks for the ideas. It is the latest firmware. I can't use the camera straight to the computer as I have another problem - the firewire thinks it's connected all the time, and won't work, so I have to pull shots off the card.

I suppose I should stop bothering people with this until I see what Canon say. As neither problem is fatal, I am waiting till either I am passing Canon/ or Wimbledon is over and they are back up to the full quota of technicians.

Andreas (or anyone) if you want to see this I can email a small example. Let me know off list.

Thanks to Mark Sykes too.
