Hi David

Picked up on this thread a bit late, but yes I have already seen the same
problem. I noticed it on some shots of people wearing dark grey clothes &
the bottom half would have a magenta band. I replicat3ed the effect by
shooting a greycard & didn't have to increase the saturation to see the
problem.

Haven't had time to contact Canon yet due to a busy schedule & the person I
know best at CPS is now at Wimbledon. But will do soon.

Do get in touch if you want to discuss this more (we met about 3 years ago,
when you were selling a scanner).
