I've finally given up on the LaCie D2 DVD recorder I bought a couple of
months ago.

It can't even read the DVD-R's it writes itself, though they play perfectly
well on my 3 year old laptop.

I bought this from Dabs.com who only offer refunds up to 28 days from
purchase. As I bought this on a credit card, does anyone know whether I can
get the money back for this pile of designer encased canine deposits?

The device has never worked fully, though it works "in parts" this has made
it really difficult to work out if a) its me, b) if its the software c) or
if it's the device. I think I have blown about 60 on media trying to get it
to work, plus I bought a copy of Nero to get around the limitations in the
supplied software.

I have sent three support requests via the LaCie website/request form. I
have only recieved one answer and it was hopeless, the other two requests
did not even receive an email confirmation. It is by far the worst online
support I have ever recieved from a vendor.
