My C drive is my boot and program disk, D is for picture data, and G is a
partition on the G drive for temporary files... but I will get another disc
of two, or keep my existing machine as a print/net server and get a fast
machine.

Dear Jonathan

All the contributors to this thread this morning are spot on. I would only add this if you want to get the maximum speed.... within reason. Not only should you consider making your paging file, your PS scratch disk and your working files drive dedicated drives, you will make them the fastest SCSI drives you can lay hands on. Put them on a quality SCSI controller, spread your wings and get ready for take off!

Yes you could put all these drives on individual RAID set-ups and you could consider using a 'Rocket drive' but many would consider this a little OTT and rather expensive!

Cheers

Richard
