Frustrated with Epson's lack of support I'm trying to print to a networked 5000 from Panther using GIMP-Print.
I've never had a printer connected directly to a Mac so I'm a newbie with the Printer SetUp Utility, and the printer list is empty.
If I choose to Add a Printer, then choose IP printing I have the option to choose from a range of manufacturers including Epson, and the 5000 is there, listed as:
Epson Stylus Pro 5000, CUPS+Gimp,-Print v.4.2.5
but unfortunately the 'ADD' button is greyed out.
I can't make head nor tail of the CUPS site (http://127.0.0.1:631/): can anyone tell me how I should go about making my Mac talk to the printer using GIMP?
