Hi all, Just bought a Maxtor 300gb external drive. It's advised to convert the format from fat32 to ntfs when moving files larger than 4gb. I have left the drive in fat 32 and transferring data from ny xp machine, but any files over just 550mb won't transfer and doing system back up over 9gb won't work either it just say's no more disk space. I have tried usb 2 and firewire but no result, any ideas or should I just convert it to ntfs and hope this solves the problem.
