You MUST run Lyson's cleaning carts before installing a CIS - no matter what 3rd party inks being used.....otherwise there is a reaction between solvents already in the tubes on a new printer prior to priming with ink - any ink.
Why do you think Lyson manufacture cleaning carts?
Well forgive me, but I thought that maybe the idea of cleaning cartridges was to get rid of any previous Epson ink? Doesn't sound unreasonable to me. But I can't see why new plastics, although not surgically 'clean', should be particularly inimical to fluids? But having said that, I am now worried and will hold off a while. Thanks William.
