Since I actually do some other things in the office where I do my photo work
there are still windows, but thick curtains as well!

Lots of low level indirect lighting for when I'm doing the photo work and a
500W Halogen up-lighter(with dimmer) for fiddly stuff like taking apart the
odd machine. I set up the best viewing lighting in the other room where my
printers and servers live.

However, during a recent parental visit (you know what I mean!) it was
commented that it "would do your eyes no good working in all that gloom" so
we have been warned ...
