Further to my question regarding Epson 1160/CIS, I've now got an 1160 and the CIS will arrive on Tuesday. Someone has very kindly given me a couple of Lyson cartridges for the 1160 which I'd like to be using in the meantime; on reading the leaflet that comes with them, I notice the following:
"If your Epson has not been used before, make sure to prime the machine with cleaning cartridges before using Fotonic Ink"
... how important is this? I don't have any cleaning cartridges and, knowing that the Epson was only going to be used with Lyson inks, didn't buy any. Do I need to, either for the cartridges or the CIS?
