I have tried processing raw files with Nikon capture, Photoshop 7 plug in,
photoshop CS, C1 as standard film and linear ( though I have been told this
is not correct- it is for artwork copies?), in C1 I have output as both
adobe rgb and processed the files with the camera profile ( as per the
instructions to effect as little change as possible). I get similar results
from my Nikon D1x and also from H20 and H25 backs. The results are similar
using either the 24 patch Macbeth target or the one with loads of patches.

According to my understanding of the information I have read on InCamera,
you should expose the target within the frame and then process the raw file
and when it is opened in PS use the plug in to produce a profile. Then any
shots taken at the same time, under the same conditions, processed the same
way can be opened and have the custom profile assigned and then converted to
your working space, this should correct the colours.

Am I being too simplistic? I am using phrases such as 'similar results' as
there are people on this list who use very precise and technical/scientific
language that goes way over my head. Don't misunderstand, I am grateful for
the breadth of knowledge on this list, just sometimes I don't even
understand the questions !
