But you guys are living in a different world. Try to explain this
stuff to "just plain folks" (like my *family*). Ed and others have
said it before (but more eloquently): this stuff should be about as
easy and hazardous as using a refrigerator.
One shouldn't have to run continual updates nor buy special programs
or any of that. Heck, most of my siblings don't even know how to load
software. These people are tech morons, and they should be allowed to
be so. The smartest "regular folks" know that they need to do this
stuff, but are scared that they will load the *wrong* stuff. Even if
they have a firewall, Scared that they will answer the "do you want
to allow this?" questions wrong (and they probably will).
