I'd query the vendor further about the "connections" explaining as you
have to us that there are only 100 users on your site and you wonder
how 200 connections could be made and let them explain to you what's
going on. Then, perhaps the two of you can work out how to work better
together.
If you can't get satisfactory answers, since you have a contractual
relationship with the site, perhaps it's time to revisit the contract.
I've requested the website owner to give me direct contact information for
the website host (who may or may not also be the website and/or database
application designer), so then we'll see.
Unfortunately, the contract involves money coming to us from the website
owner to provide services, on which we must then report using the database
application. So we can't ditch the website without ditching the entire project.
Stay tuned. More to come after the weekend, no doubt.
Thanks again for your very useful help.
Ken
