I disagree with both of you. I'm not a lawyier, but my mother is, and
she says there is nothing "illegal" because the law does NOT say
something is "forbidden", it just says that if it can be proved that you
have done something you will have to do some time or pay some fine. So
there's no way you are 'outside' the law because the law does not
establish a line, it just punishes some conducts. But if you are willing
to accept the time then why wouldn't you do the deed? And that would be
something between you and the law, nobody else's business. Around here
your "legal file" (don't know the term, where the state keeps the story
of your convictions) is considered private, and not in public domain.
