Of course we can. We were not right to start an offensive war, and more than the Japanese were right to attack us at Pearl Harbor. Our "leaders" toss out regime change as if it is our BUSINESS to pick the leaders of other countries. We are way out of line in the first place with an offensive war, and the people who started us are spending blood and treasure -- bleeding our economy dry -- for a war we should not be fighting. I had a great chat with a retired Marine colonel not too long ago, and he was really bothered about having to fight in Iraq because he said we did not belong there in the first place. Our soldiers are just now coming back saying they don't agree with what they were ordered to do. This is a complete waste of blood and treasure, and some folks are still just too stupid to see it.
