        I said the exact opposite, and it's disingenuous to suggest  
otherwise. The licensing *is* critical, and Microsoft isn't the only  
company that comes up short in this regard. I use both MySQL and  
PostgreSQL, but the licensing issues have made me switch to Postgres  
as my default database server.

        Nobody has said otherwise. My only comment was the implication by you  
that this is somehow exclusive to the Microsoft world.

        Who's judging the person based on their tools? I only responded to  
David Crooks comment that those who do not go the .net route are a  
priori anti-Microsoft.
