I was getting my hair cut and the girl who cuts my hair was telling me about her boyfriend getting drunk, getting into a fight, and getting arrested (for like the 5th time). She was telling me this like like it was no big deal.
I can't even relate to that society. My parents never got arrested, by family members never got arrested, my family never got drunk and never got into fights. So you're right, a lot about being poor is being taught to be poor, being taught to accept poor jobs, have low expectations. being taught to think that doing well in school is for geeks. --- On Sun, 7/20/08, Virgil Bierschwale <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > From: Virgil Bierschwale <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: RE: [OT] Fat Slobs struggle to put food on the table.
