Ken,
        what was your output Gerber format precision? What kind of grid or
spacing does exist between the copper features. See what I am getting at? If
you Gerber format was 2.3 then you are limited to 1 mil increments in Gerber
items. In your data base could the features be just under 5 mils but if you
took down the precision to 1 mil precision the violations would exist?
        I always use 2.4 Gerber format and thus I get 0.1mil resolution on
my Gerber. As well, if I am measuring clearances in Protel onscreen, I
usually use a grid size of 0.1 mil or 0.05mil just to not get erroneous
measures because of grid jump.
