I may have misunderstood what the original poster was wanting. I thought that the proposal was for a VCS (and other things) that would make the Protel environment the base for all other things remotely engineering. IMHO, that idea su^H^H^H is less than ideal. However, I agree with you that some improvements in document management would be gratefully received. "Backup of backup of backup of backup..... " doesn't really cut it.
