Hi, This is why Avid really needs to be made aware of these
accessibility issues with their web site as for brand new users these
tasks are not the easiest things to do and I thought Avid was for
accessibility of it's products. What would it take for them to really
not just say they care about accessibility but do something about it? I
would have called their phone number which I have in my pro tools 11
upgrade email and explain these issues to them as yes for advanced users
like me this is not tricky but really this is not something a new user
is going to know how to do. Nick Gawronski

Hi and thank you so much. That description solved my problem, and to people
upgrading from 11.x to 11.2 please keep in mind that you have to click with the
mouse "vo+shift+spacebar) in order to reveal the heading under which there's a
link to show the downloads. It's a quite cumbersome and not obvious procedure as you
probably noticed.:-)
Again sorry for the frustrated mail that started this whole thread.

Hi Krister,
I totally understand your frustration, AVID has done a couple of changes on
their web pages, and if you log in to your account and go to the page you
describe, it looks like there is no downloads available. But, even though I've
not figured out exactly what I did, I think I interacted with the heading named
Pro Tools 11 upgrade from PT 10 and clicked on it. Next, there was a link under
the heading named Downloads or something like that, and if you interact with
this heading there is a link named Show there. If you click this link and stop
interacting with the heading, all the download links for Pro Tools 11.2 will be
listed there on the page.
Sorry for the cryptic description, but I think I did things in this order when
I managed to download the update.
Good luck!

Hi there.
I must admit i think i never have been this angry before. I started my Protools 11.1.2 and got a software upgrade
notice that told me a new Pro tools was available, v11.2.1. Nice i thought to myself and started the longish nightmare
that's the Avid Web site. I even went so far as to create a so called master account but when i got into this account
and looked at my products, it claimed that i didn't have a bloody upgrade after all, that is it said "Protools 11
upgrade from v10, 1 product(s)" and nothing more, no indication that there was something to download, no links
nada. So i go to the support which of course is paid so no help there and then i found this link from the knowledge
base to something called "downloads and upgrades" and after many trials and tribulations got there and found
the link to the "protools 11.2 information and downloads". I clicked on this link only to be taken to the
same announcement i had seen earlier in my software update and of course no download links instead there was a little
note saying "Registered customers should log in to their accounts to get an installer" well duh, there is no
damned installer to be found, not anywhere in my account space. Nada, nothing, zero, zip, zilch, nichts, not a thing.
So what do i do now? I know i have the right to upgrade or rather update but when nothing can be seen, no installer at
least, what do i do since support costs probably just as much as the damned protools itself.
Sorry for the long rant but as you can tell i'm mighty frustrated. Maybe i
should give up on this entirely and do something completely different with my
life.
