I am interested in using this for my falling sand type game I have another post about. However I was unable to get your game of life example working on my macbook pro with an ati gpu. It showed a constant black screen, even when resized. I'm pretty inexperienced with debugging opengl so that's all the info I have right now.
Also I am interested in seeing an example of drawing pyglet labels on top of the screen that are not affected by the glsl shader if you were so inclined.
