We've obviously come a long way. From "look at crappy Windows, needs
megabytes of ram whereas our system is so efficient and memory saving"

I usually run QPC set to 6MB ram. The slaving problem still exists.

I think Jerome's idea of a compression of save areas within the OS is
quite a good one ("Background colour? No problem, 4 RLE encoded bytes
instead of 2MB"). But it's difficult to implement (hardly any random
access anymore).
If I had more time I think I'd try it nonetheless.

Sorry, I don't really like VB but this just proves that you're a
better QL than PC programmer ;-)
