Hey Pat, Ben, Thanks for your input. I'm at least abstractly aware of what I'm signing up for, and have had a hand in organizing large 1000+ people church events before.
I do feel that we should have a mix of both respected International Speakers and Local Speakers, and that it should be an event not to be missed. After I get this expression of interest, I will move forward with organizing a team of people, and more importantly getting a feel for exactly who/what/when/howmuch people are interested in.
