         I would think that in the instance of the Red Cross, for this 
situation,  The Red Cross is always changing things and updating to the best 
possible course that they can offer.  The Ranger manual is not the Bible.  We 
need to use good old common sense and use the appropriate course that is 
pertinent.  We can't run and around and say that because the Ranger manual 
says this and that and the Red Cross says this over here that no one can get 
certified because they don't call the class by that name anymore.  That's 
silly. Wisdom is being able to make the appropriate decision that is best for 
you and your group with what you have at hand.  Blindly following orders have 
been known to burn people because orders can be flawed too. Use your best 
judgment on the matter.  I'm not flaming anyone.  I'm just offering an 
insight.
