I agree but whoever teaches those boys, whoever organizes the event, and
the church, will be legally liable for any mistakes those boys make in
performing first aid.  This liablity is nullified upon proper completion
of a Red Cross course given by a certified Red Cross Instructor.  I read
your argument that the book says ........  The only book ever written
that we are supposed to take as literal was the Bible.  The Red Cross
simply combined Standard First Aid with Adult, Infant, & Child CPR to
create a new class called Community First Aid & CPR.

My point is this:  Anyone who helps organize, support, or teach this
class that's unsanctioned will hold legal liability.  Are you willing to
take that responsibility.  Taking first aid classes for work for 20 years
does not qualify you to teach anyone according to law.

There is no substitute, as the AHA does not offer first aid.  You need to
tell your pastor that your about to make the church liable for what
you're teaching before you do it.  It's just not worth it.  People will
sue you.
