Not to get off the subject or chase rabbits or anything...but I have met
some Catholics who worship statues. And dolls. And apparitions. And mary.
And others. I know of Catholics who believe in eternal salvation apart from
Jesus Christ. Who believe that muslims have eternal salvation because they
share the faith of our father Abraham. Who believe that Mary is just as
much or more of a deity than Jesus. Who believe that you cannot be saved
until you go to summer camp and confirmation class. These are all lies that
are taking people to hell. And you too, Michael, have met some who believe
and do all these things, whether you realize it or not, because you can't
live in this world and deal with people every day and NOT meet them- they
are everywhere. Something to think about- a little late maybe- never the
less still there to think about.

I understand what you're saying Clint - and you're right.  My real point was
that often we accuse others (like Catholics) of things because we simply
don't understand.  Many Catholics do worship Mary and other idols - but MANY
are also true committed Christians who only pray to Christ/God/Holy Spirit
but chose the Catholic Church becasue they enjoy/like/understand the liturgy.
And many are working from within to make changes - including some priests -
I have a friend who attends a Catholic Church in the Dallas area whose priest
is married....

We need to be careful in making wide-sweeping claims about any group.

Michael
