Yea this is one of the Alex Schlachter tanks from Russia.  I bought my King Tiger from them and like the suspension it has so might try and reproduce that.  Have not got that far yet but when the time comes I'll show up on Franks doorstep one Friday night looking for assistance.  :)  Finishing the KT first then onto the Maus.  This is a look ahead project to keep me busy and out of trouble when not in the shop.

Pulled the trigger yesterday and sent my 20 ton jack to Shapeway's for printing.  Charlie thanks for the name I had never heard of them.  Only cost $25.00 to have it printed.  When it arrives will get it to Frank and see if it's ok for molding.  If so we will try it with a sprocket next, hopefully I didn't screw it up to badly.  :)

lol, is this the guys over in Russia? i was just looking at this monster myself the other day and emailed them about some parts and if i could buy them from them.

does your build have to be exactly like this? as in the way they built the suspension, sprockets and the likes?

as for that type of suspension, unless you know exactly how they do it and can get all of the parts done the same way, i'd opt for suspension such as on the Tiger.

as for the sprockets, i'd mount them to the sides of a main hub and use the hub to secure it tot he shaft.

for my tiger, i'll be adding some parts to the sides of the sprockets to make it look just like the sprocket wheel, but instead, replace the teeth with an O-ring. the finished part would slip onto the shaft and stick tot he sprocket using a few glued in (strong) magnets. this way if for some reason it did break, i could at least easily replace the piece on the outside (inside would require removing the sprocket
