Hi Chris, I spent about $4,000.00 on it. There are several different dealers online that carry them (the Alex Schlachter tanks) but I bought mine from Bigtanks.de because he had the lowest price. Mark1 is also a good source he has a very good reputaion as well.
I dealt with a gentlaman named Wolfgang Ebsen at Bigtanks.de, he was very responsive and always answered me back the same day. Although if I were to buy another one of these tanks I would go through Mark 1 this time just because of the language barrier. Mark1 might cost you a few dollars more but he speaks English. I am a member of the Bigtanks.de forums and Wolfgang has been most gracious to me by setting up an English speaking section for me in their forums but their particular forums software does not translate so I have to manually do it if I want to read what everyone is saying and vice versa, takes a lot of time.
There is no parts list available but Wolfgang did say that if something big broke he would help me get replacment parts. My overall buying experience from them was good but again if I ever do it again I'll go through Mark1. There are also a lot of aftermarket detail parts out there from vendors, so no problem finding those kinds of things.
A word of warning though, vendors to avoid are Richard Tripp/Steel Dragons. - I ordered and paid for an FOA Tiger 1 from him on 3/22/2010 with him telling me it would take 2 weeks. Well a little over a year later he was still giving me excuses as to why it was not ready. I cancelled my order and asked for other parts and things for the amount of the tank. I received some of them but not all of my moneys worth. He then just stopped responding to e-mails. After some research I've found out I'm not the only one there are many of us, so just a heads up.
Also I will not do business with Big Tanks of America. This guys is a middle man looking to make big money drop shipping. For instance, you can purchase a fully operational 1/6 scale Fuyuan Shermanwith radio and all delivered to your house directly from Fuyuan for $1,800.00. Or you can order the exact same tank which he will purchase from Fuyuan and have dropped shipped to you for $4,299.00. Same with most of his other models as well, so buyer beware.

how much was it for your king tiger?
when you emailed him, was there any delay of any kind between the time of sending him an email and his replying to it?
also, with your king tiger, was there any kind of parts list - in case you wanted to buy replacement parts?
