Joe, Thanks for taking the time to answer my post. I recognize the "practical" aspect of the gamers. As a business, we want to "touch" as many people as possible, from the Modelers, RC and Gamers. But to deal with gamers, we need a VERY STURDY product.
Could you give me more info, and send me links to your comments below: "We use electronic markers or automotive door lock actuators that can fire at over 10 balls per second in semi-automatic mode." - I'm not sure what this statement means? Sound, laser, camera: I totally understand if it does not apply to Gamers. Sound system is definitely an RC upgrade. "Turret Rotation": I noticed that many gamers use "Lazy Susan" turntable systems. Is this an issue with turning speed? Why not use a turning wheel system? Does the paintball firing affect the turret system? "Gun Elevation Precision": again, this is another very specific topic that we could benefit from the knowledge bank of your group. I read several articles in this Newsgroup about what people have done to fine-tune their gun elevation. I would love to hear your story and see your equipment. FINALLY "Tracks": I will not make much comment here because I do NOT know the survivability of FOA tracks. Our tracks are made of ABS plastic. The Panther/Jagdpanther use a steel pin. We should have a "running hull" by the end of next week, and we are going to start a full series of tests on the tracks/wheels/sprocket/idlers/ball bearings/bushings/track tensioner. I will let you know what we find. Our "high fidelity" tracks might not sustain the environment, or they might surprise us... I will let you know! I'm an Engineer by Education and my short career before becoming a businessman, so the research will be fun.
