Dropping down in voltage probably not the answer for a zero turn on grass.  I
tried a couple different voltages (6 ans 12) and found the lesser voltage
simply didn't have enough omph to turn the tank.  12v was obviously better.  If
I could I would bump up to 24 or even 36 volts to get the power required to
zero turn, not to mention less amp draw over a 12v system.

Tracks that grab will actually hurt pivot turning.  Smoother tracks seem to let
the tank pivot easier.

Mike

Not yet Neil. The motors are 24V and not powerful enough. no problem making a
360 on asphalt or concrete. We only reach 2km/hr or 1.3 mph (12 km/hr scale).
This tank cruised at 46 km/hr. We are looking into other motors right now (12V
with more amps).  Also we are concerned about the "accurate" Panther tracks
which "grooves" might "grab" on the grass on a 360degree turn. That would not
be good for plastic tracks. Suggestions and critics are welcomed!
