"But to deal with gamers, we need a VERY STURDY product." Depends on the "gamer". You have the country club set that enjoys meandering around manicured fields and lobbing paintballs at a distance. Don't need to much robustness for that. Then you have the knife fighter set that likes to get in close and duke it out at spitting ranges. The knife fighter sees obstacles between them and the intended target as something to bash through, jump over, or mow down to get the kill. A beefier tank would be better for this type of battler.
I'm of the latter type. I've rolled my Cromwell and kept going, dented a mini van with it, pushed over 2" saplings, bent 1/2" rebar stakes, been run over by other tanks, and to top it off, tow 100 pound kids around a field in a hitched red wagon at tank shows for hours on end. That is the level of sturdy I'd expect from a commercial product.
