Mike is right. 24V motors are better than 12V motors since the 24V motors will be more efficient and actually use less amperage. Sounds like you just need to get 24V motors with more torque. Also if the batteries are not up to the task to delivery the amps the power hungry motors are asking for, that will also translate into no power. The 24V scooter motors in my KV-2 are more than powerful enough to propel the 150lb. tank. The batteries I was testing with (7AH x2, 12V in series to produce 24V@7AH) could make the tank do neutral turns while fully charged, but the power hungry motors will drain the puny batteries in less than 10 minutes. I use less powerful motors on my Sturmtiger. It weighs in at about 100lbs. With proper batteries it will do neutral turns on concrete with my 190lbs sitting on the tank. I don't sit on it anymore since I bent a few of the swing arms by doing that... :)
